Gorontalo is a province located on the northern part of the island of Sulawesi. It used to be a part of North Sulawesi province but in 2000 it became a province. Gorontalo, despite the fact that it has less cultural place of interest that North Sulawesi, it is blessed with beautiful nature.

When you are visiting Gorontalo, you can enjoy the fruits of Mother Nature by diving its gorgeous waters and enjoying its breathtaking underwater scenery. Visit Tomini Bay for a chance to experience the beauty of the waters of Gorontalo. The waters here are inhabited by many marine creatures since the equator passes through the province. Among the creatures here maybe you will encounter school of Gobi fish or the tiny Pigmy seahorses

Olele Village
Olele village is another must-go place in Gorontalo. Blessed with underwater biodiversity, the village's waters are renowned internationally and is a famous diving spot among world-class divers. Marine lifeforms here consists of coral reefs such as giant reef (Petrosia Sp.) and sea creatures such as the Harlequin sweetlips fish (Plectorhinchus chaetodonoides).

To get there you can get on a flight from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta to Jallaludin Airport in Gorontalo. Flights are available daily.
